Mario Caroni [Sarnano 18 Aprile 1973]

I take photos because it is the only way I have to realize my ideas, and as I have so many in my head, I take pictures of everything, ranging from a committed reportage to a simple reflex on a pair of glasses. Each time I push the button, it is like I can make that moment eternal. I am still able to develop and print in “black & white” by myself and this is the reason why I prefer B/N to color: I have the total control on the whole process and therefore on the final result.I began photographing at the age of 21 and I performed about ten photographic exhibitions.

Honestly, I may say that my “career” has a few milestones which helped my passion growing more and more: The day when my brother bought (for him.... but it immediately became mine!) a “reflex” camera: finally I had the means . The day when I became part of the photographic club “Immagine” in Rome: finally I could let my ideas communicate with the means . Time spent with my friends Mauro and Mimmo, moments full of Jazz, bier and photography. The day I finished my workshop by Zizola: I understood that people do not bite you and taking photos of them is wonderful !
